A goal from Bakri
Abdulqadir gave Sudan a stunning 1-0 victory over defending champions Nigeria in their 2015 Africa
Nations Cup Qualifying campaign in Khartoum on Saturday.
Abdulqadir, of Al
Hilal, buried his header from inside the box and gave goalkeeper Vincent
Enyeama no chance.
Group A is now
looking very interesting because South Africa are top after a superb 2-0 win in
Congo earlier in the day. Sudan go past Nigeria into third place with their
first win of the qualifying series.
Mathematically, The
Eagles could still sneak through to the 2014 Nations Cup held in Morocco if
they win all their remaining three matches, which are at home to Sudan and
South Africa and away to Congo.
